Competitivity

Since its establishment, FUNSALUD has been at the vanguard of programs that benefit health. In the present context of globalization, apertures and commercial treaties, the phenomenon of competitively has become more relevant, both at research and instrumentation levels.

This confirms the national importance of FUNSALUD’s line of research regarding competitively. Competitivity in health means we must determine which enterprises and institutions are the forerunners, which entrepreneurs and directors are a major influence on productivity, strength and growth within this ambit. Thus, it is important to create forums for debate and cooperation, wherein representatives from both the private sector and government are able to meet, in order to consolidate efforts and collaborative strategies that promote the creation of world-wide conglomerates or clusters that benefit health.

Within this framework we seek, through the integration of a Forum for Health Cluster Competitivity, to lay down the foundations that allow us to identify a new line of action for FUNSALUD, especially for the Center for Social and Economic Health Analysis (CASEsalud). As a first step, it is important to identify possibilities and opportunities, shortages and deficiencies or discover deteriorations and vulnerabilities, specific areas and ways the private sector can make a contribution.
