| Health
is a commodity we take for granted throughout our lives and then
lose, without prior warning; only then do we learn to appreceiate
its true value and do everything in our power to recuperate it.
Health
has a direct biological, medical and social bearing; it is closely
linked with education, is an important aspect of each country´s
economy, and with each day that passes it is also becoming a political
wol.
There
is a clear reiterative interaction between poverty and illness;
moreover, health, economic development and social development can
mutually empower each other.
Health care covers numerous aspects: preventive medicine, curative
medicine; in short rehablitation.
During their development, countries go through diverse epidemiological
profiles that are closely related to their economic development.

The
fundamental principle is equity and the lack of the latter, with
regards to health, can have dramatic results; therefore, health
is commodity that should be spread universally, since the the health
of others ensures the protection of our own.
These
epecific health aspects, which were discussed with the sculptor
Sebastian some time ago, inspired him to create the beautiful mobile
sculpture he calls "The Revolutions of Health".
The
sculpture embodies a sphere through the use of three arches. These
represent, says Sebastian, the biological, medical and social components
that are inherent to health, as was stated earlier in this document.
The ends of the arches are united by shafts that interweave and
break off, symbolising the way health interactions affect each other. |
